TCU’s Rippit fitness program provides classes that encourage
total health, physical fitness, social interaction, diversity,
and fun for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. The
classes are scheduled and designed with these purposes in mind.
Whether this is your first time in a fitness center or you work
out regularly, we have classes that can meet your needs.

Class Descriptions
3, 2, 1 STEP! – This 45 minute class has it all! This interval style class is formatted by 3 minutes of step, 2 minutes of sculpting exercises and 1 minute of high intensity exercises! Be sure to bring your water bottles and be prepared to sweat!
Ball Pilates – Learn the basics of the Pilates method on the ball while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening your muscles. You will experience each movement from the inside out as you improve coordination, balance, posture, and flexibility. This class is designed for beginners, athletes, or those sidelined with injuries.
Boot Camp – This boot camp-inspired workout will leave your heart pounding and your muscles fatigued. Ready for a challenge? This class
is for you.
Cycle – This energy-packed class emphasizes intervals, drills, and race-day style indoor cycle workouts that are sure to “spin” you into shape! Come prepared with water and a towel because this class will make definitely make you sweat.
Cycle-lates – 25 minutes of heart-pumpin’ cycle class combined with 25 minutes of Pilates is the perfect lunchtime combination of cardio, strengthening and stretching!
Dancer’s Workout – Dedicated to toning the dancer body, this class focuses on core strength, long and lean muscle building, and lots of flexibility training. Perfect for those who dance or want the physique of a dancer!
Hardcore Abs – Who doesn’t want a solid core? Here we will work on the entire core, which includes not only your abdominal muscles, but your back muscles as well. This class will teach you proper breathing and technique so that you can get the results desired.
Hip-Hop – Do you like to dance and add your own funky style? Then this is the class for you! Hip-hop combines aerobic training with funky,
hip-hop dance style! Our groovy instructors will have you movin’ to the tune of your own funky beat!
Jazz Fit – A fun and fast paced workout that is based strongly on jazz dance. This class involves toning, stretching, and uses the whole body in movement. Some dance experience is recommended but not required.
Lyrical Dance – This class is a contemporary style of dance which fuses modern dance, jazz, and ballet. Participants will be expressing themselves to the music flowing dance moves that connect throughout the dance.
Pilates – This class is based on the principles of core strength and stabilization as created by Joseph Pilates. Pilates is an all-encompassing mind, body, and spirit exercise - a whole approach philosophy that is often shared with other techniques such as yoga and tai-chi.
PiYoChi – This class is a fusion of the fundamentals of pilates, yoga and tai chi. Come experience the ultimate mind body experience in just
50 minutes!
Power Yoga – This is a form of astanga yoga designed to tone and strengthen muscles, improve flexibility and respiration, calm the mind and uplift the spirit. While this class is both challenging and strenuous, it is accessible to ALL levels (including beginners). Come prepared to generate some heat and have fun.
Restorative Yoga – Release stress from your body and mind through a more lengthening yoga filled with stretches and deeper poses. For those who want less challenging postures, props may be used. For those who want to challenge themselves, there are numerous variations for increasing difficulty. Each class ends with a long period of deep relaxation or meditation.
Rise & Shine Yoga – You won’t want to sleep through this yoga class! Designed to challenge the body yet refresh it for the weekend, this class offers the perfect start to any Saturday!
Step – Step into shape with heart-pumping combos and defining moves!
TNT Tone-N-Tighten – This is the ultimate resistance training workout. It will utilize dumbbells, body bars, tubing, and bands for a full body burn.
Turbo Kick™ – Try the hottest kickboxing class around! You’ll kick, punch and groove the calories away in this action-packed, super fun, super safe and effective cardiovascular workout.
Weekend Rejuvenation – This Sunday evening class will help to refresh and rejuvenate your mind and body for your week ahead. Instructors will rotate and formats will vary week to week.
Yoga – Perform series of sun salutations, back bends, forward bends, inversions, twists, and hip openers to lengthen and strengthen your mind and body.
Yoga Flow – This is an active style of yoga linking poses together with the breath. Yoga flow modifies the poses for greater safety and gives lots of options in each pose so that every body can feel uniquely and successfully challenged. Yoga flow can be practiced by every body and brings the perfect balance of energy and calm to the body and mind.
Zumba – ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.
